Mark February 8th on your calendars, as that's the date of Jerry Mendez and Rene Driefuss' "NYC Submission Shootout" at the Fighthouse in Midtown Manhattan, a round-robin no-gi grappling tournament. The event will be sanctioned by USA Judo, thereby making it 100-percent legal and not a deathmatch kumite.
