Check Out This New York Fight Exchange Coverage

NEW YORK

The New York Fight Exchange had their seventh installment on Saturday night, and though I missed the event, there is some coverage of it to be had courtesy of Combat Sports Nation. Some things worth noting about NYFE 7:

  • Undefeated Victory champ Rob Ovalle lost, and he wasn't the only cross-promotional champ to come up short, as Aggressive Combat Championships' Jillian DeCoursey wound up on the wrong end of a decision against NYFE champ Sara Click. Apparently Click announced that she would be turning pro afterwards.
  • UCL champ Jonathan Figueroa (a.k.a. Jonathan Velez) took a fight at the last minute and notched a win against ace striker Omowale Adewale.
  • Slugger Jerome Mickle lost in his bid to secure the 185-pound belt, while Jungle Gym's Daniel Rodriguez beat out the talented Rich Pabon for the bantamweight title.
  • Mike Hauben won via knockout.
I'm bummed that I wasn't there to see all this, as it sounds like NYFE 7 kicked ass.
