A Sophie's Choice of Northeast MMA
This weekend there are not one but two big Northeast MMA events on Friday, June 12th - a "Sophie's choice" for anyone into big fights with local superstars. Choice number one: Bellator FC's eleventh installment, which will see Team Tiger Schulmann badass Lyman Good facing Omar de la Cruz for the organization's welterweight tournament championship belt at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. Also on the card are Igor Gracie, Philapelphia Muay Thai ace Matt Makowski, and TSMMA up-and-comers Nick Pace, Jimmie Rivera and Uriah Hall. Then there's choice number two, which is Lou Neglia's Ring of Combat 25 at the Tropicana in Atlantic City. Light-heavyweight stud Ricardo Romero and ROC middleweight champ Rafael Natal are headlining that one, with mass murderers like Team Serra/Longo's Al Iaquinta, top Rhino Fight Team rep Jeff Lentz and TSMMA's Louis Gaudinot filling out the roster. Both events are must-sees, but as cloning is illegal in the United States, a person can only choose one event to go to. Where will MMA Journalist be? Cageside for ROC, although hopefully someone will text me the Bellator results as they happen.
